Space Jam Inspired Shoes

The perfect amalgamation of technology and fantasy came to the forefront in the blockbuster movie, Space Jam. Produced by Warner Bros. in 1996 the movie grossed over $300 million worldwide. The star cast was led by Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny while it introduced Lola Bunny, the love of Bugs Bunny for the first time. The famed Billy West provided the voice dubbing for the Looney Tunes.

The theme of triumph of the good over evil was the underlying plot and it cut across all ages in popularity. The immense interest generated by Space Jam led to a sudden spike in the movie memorabilia with Sega coding a pinball game and Acclaim launching a video game based on the movie characters.





The basic plot of the movie revolves around intergalactic aliens who are commanded by Mr. Swackhammer and have to capture the Looney Tunes characters to increase the attraction at the intergalactic theme park, 'Moron Mountain'. Due to poor business the amusement park was going into bankruptcy and Mr. Swackhammer comes up with a plan to get the Tunes on display. They had to hunt the Looney Tunes who had their home beneath the Earth's surface.

But the Looney Tunes come to know of the plan and challenge them to a basketball game, seeing that the aliens are very short in height. The two teams' one led by the aliens, Nerdlucks and the other captained by Bugs Bunny, play a game of basketball. But the Nerdlucks steal the basketball powers of the top NBA players and become huge Monstars. They give a routing game and now the Looney Tunes are in need of help. They go to Michael Jordan and ask him to join their team. Even with him on their side, the Looney Tunes have tough luck with Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, Daffy Ducks and Michael Jordan is left. To help them out Bill Murray enters to play on the side of the Tunes. The super extendable arm of Michael Jordan gives them the winning goal. Looney Tunes goes back home and leave Jordan back on Earth.

The movie made waves in the world. The technological advancements and combination of cartoons and real characters was a super hit combination. This super exciting live action animation movie, Space Jam's popularity gave rise to innumerable memorabilia and Jordan Space Jam shoes similar to those that Michael Jordan wore. From key chains to stickers and soft toys, Space Jam revolutionized the movie memorabilia market.
